The Black Administrators.org website is an advocacy, membership, and training assistance organization. BACW was formed in 1971 in New York to respond to the need for culturally approved services to African American children and families.
Governed by 24 board members, they run the day-to-day operations. There’s only one managing Executive Director. BACW made it a point to involve themselves nationwide, while other similar associations decide not to.
Their work addresses child welfare policy as well as the research on behalf of African American children. Specifically, children in foster care.
BACW is very committed to strengthening resources & financial education designed to promote the healthy development of these children and their families.
We support communities that are serving all children with special attention given to those with a demonstrated interest in educating themselves on growing & protecting their retirement wealth for the future.
